KEF's 1st Annual Walk for Educational Excellence
KEF’s first annual “Walk for Educational Excellence” was held Sunday, November 4 at Colt State Park. The foundation’s inaugural fundraiser was a great success, despite being postponed by a day (remnants of Hurricane Noel made November 3 a washout). About 150 people participated in the 1 mile or 5K walks. Live music, refreshments, face-painting and temporary tattoos made it a festive, family-friendly event, which raised money through registration fees, a raffle, and contributions from area businesses.
Thank you to everyone in our community who participated, especially our sponsors! Your generosity raised both funds and awareness of KEF’s mission, generating support for our cause throughout Warren and Bristol.
